I just signed up for devart. And what i see i dont really like. Far too many people here do not really know what they are doing or saying. Ive looked at some comments and some submissions for the photograpgy sections and well, i am so dissapointed. 90% of these so called artists have a wery weak, and in most cases no sense for photography.
Let me give you some advise people. Take books and read and learn about photography. This is a scinece that can never be perfected by a simple trail and error procedure. Trust me I know.
I dont have any good photos submitted since im not at home. Im in Paris. I made this devart account only because i want to be able to comment on peoples stuff and talk to some people i care about who are hard to reach otherwise.
And one more thing. I am a very very very and i mean VERY critical person. And most of not all of my comments will be negative and degrading perhaps towards the "artist". So u better get use to me........
If you have the time I would like to ask one thing..
I am going to build a camera with all the large format options but whit a 6x6 sheet film..."a tricky job"
but I wounder what kind of objective I should have? ...and not to expecive like "2000kr"...do you know any good old objective or at leats a good mark...
Thank you for all comments, I think that this will help me because everybody is saying that my photos are great “and of course are those people not photographers” and those who are photographer does not say anything so it is hard to learn.
I got some, what can you say “negative, critical” comments but I am not going to defend my photographs “it is no point, they have already been taken so”.
So I agree whit these things:
Yes my background is ugly “ironically I have not notice that”, the background is good in some cases but NOT always, so I will try to find a black and bye a white one.
And that I need more deep field…I usually have about 2,8-5,6 f in my studio, actually I would have to have more but my lamps do not allow me “800W as you said ”.
And is I chose 5,6 f, then I have a time of 1/15 sec “I hate that” so… but see what I can do “two flash lights cost.. ” ..Anyway I will try my best to increase my deep field.
And yes my pictures are boring…they are very easy to look at, I agree
I do not agree with that is you said about the picture “salvation at hand”, you notice that back on her hair was lightened, and you said that is because of the strong light…
I do not agree because I could have the Sun in her face and I would not get her hair to light behind her….so I think that is because that some light from the lamp “over” her head reflected behind her “unfortunate”
That little child I have a picture on, that is not his real haircut, it was on a children party and I made my haircut on every child and then I took some pictures on them so, do not worry he is normal.
hmm your picture "Credibility" not bad for a girl , specially when your look at it closely, because of the cool effect you have on it…it looks like that you have done something with it in a computer “I have been hanging with the stupid computers to much”, but I know that you would NOT do that so I think that you have used the solarization technique…”that when you light the photograph for 1-2 sec then develop a bit then expose yet another 3-4 sec and so on…then you will get the effect” it that how you did that?
or you used the Zone system and gave the negative a N-3 "or something " develoption. is it that ? or both?
well Conclusion: Thank you for all critic, I loved it, and hate it “because it was true” but that well what do you say… I get encourage to take pictures even better… that’s good

jag är en kompis till darko "du kanske vet vem jag är, darko tog några bilder på mig när han hade smikat mig i 6 timmar och sen tog han typ 12 kort, fast bilderna är kvar hos mig så du ahr nog inte sett dom" så han har berättat lite om dig och att du är en bra fotograf..
så om du vill så kan du var hur kritisk som helst mot mina bilder...vore kul att få en vettig kommentar

Its nice that you miss me and all, but i dont think that you should tell everything here on deviantart when you post a message on my ehh message thing. Se this is a public place afterall so ..
and to answer you question. I dont post them because i dont really have the time to go through the "old" stuff. You know how it is better than anyone. Its burried deep somewhere and it will take days to find them and scan them and post them bla bla bla. Whats ur excuse.
regarding your second question. Hmm, well time does pass, but that is a clishe that i dont use, nor will i ever use. Face it, its really lame, everyone uses it and half of them dont even know what it means. It hurst our intelect if we use it kinda. But yeah, i remmember, how could i forget . Although sometimes it feels that it wasnt us who did that, it was someone else. We have changed a great deal since than, and sometimes at night i kinda miss it all. you know what i mean?
wel anyhow, i just woke up so i'll go and shower now...talk to you later.
